Hack online platforms, expose Internet surveillance, and explore human agency in the Digital Age with media artist Nick Briz.
As a renowned artist, educator, and organizer, Nick has spent a decade exploring the promises and perils of technology through his thought-provoking, creative works, hypermedia essays, digital tools, and performative lectures.
His lecture on Thursday, January 19th will probe the issues of online surveillance, illuminating the ways in which data barons monetize our behavior and shape our thoughts.
On January 20th, Nick will guide us through a hands-on workshop on tactical misuse, where we’ll learn how to subvert common Internet technologies’ intended purposes, expose their limitations, and creatively hack the web.
Sharpen your mind, open your eyes, and be ready to explore the unexplored, in this two-day event!
